Working a deal
Purging a deal’s documents (NDA compliance)
When you walk away from a deal, permanently delete every file attached to it, with a record that you did.
Why
Most NDAs require you to destroy a seller’s materials once you decide not to buy. numanknows makes that one click instead of hunting down every attachment.
How
- When you move a deal to Rejected, you’re asked “Purge this deal’s documents?”. Choose Purge attached files to delete every document and diligence attachment, or Not now.
- Later, a rejected deal’s page has a Remove all listing data button that does the same and also removes the listing’s inbox record.
Owners, admins, and members can purge. Viewers can’t. The deal itself and its notes stay, and the activity log records what was purged and when, so you can show you complied.
Purged files are deleted from storage immediately and can’t be recovered through the app. Our database backups may keep a copy for up to 7 days before it’s gone everywhere.
