Use the browser extension

Install and connect

1. Install numanknows from the Chrome Web Store.
2. Click the numanknows icon in your toolbar, then Connect your numanknows account.
3. Sign in if asked, then click Allow on the authorization page.

The extension stays signed in and refreshes its own session. If you see “Session expired — reconnect your account”, connect again.

Only Chrome is supported today.

Capture a listing

1. Open a business-for-sale listing on any site.
2. Click the numanknows icon. It reads the page and fills in the facts.
3. Check and correct the title, price, SDE, EBITDA, revenue, multiple, location, sector, and description.
4. Click Add to numanknows. The listing lands in your inbox. If we already have it, the existing listing is updated instead.

The extension only reads the page when you click its icon. It has no access to sites you don’t capture from.

• Reading a page uses AI credits. Your workspace can read up to 40 pages per hour and save up to 20 listings per hour.
• If a page isn’t a listing or a data room, you’ll see “This doesn’t look like a business listing or a data room.”

Capture a data room

On a page with downloadable files, such as a broker’s data room, the extension lists what it finds (PDFs, Word and Excel files, CSVs, text files, and zips, up to 50 links).

1. Pick the deal the files belong to. The extension searches your pipeline by listing title and often picks the right deal for you.
2. Click Capture files.

Files download through your own browser session, so data rooms you’re signed in to work. Each file must be 25 MB or smaller. Each file shows whether it was added, and the files appear on the deal’s Documents card.
